Touchdown!

It’s official, Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez are an item.

After dodging rumors for months, the former Desperate Housewives actress told friend and Extra host Mario Lopez that she is in fact dating the football stud.

“Mark and I are, you know, fine,” Longoria told Lopez. “We’re happy… just dating.”

In the interview, which aired Thursday on the entertainment news show, Lopez jokingly asked his pal the question on everyone’s mind.

After pulling out a copy of the New York Post with the headline “Mark and Eva Celebrate,” Lopez casually asked Longoria what it meant.

Longoria laughed off the question and avoided responding until Lopez carried on with his questioning.

When Lopez asked her to tell everyone what was going on, Longoria jokingly cursed at Lopez before answering the question.

Just a few weeks ago the duo was spotted getting cozy in Manhattan and near Sanchez’s New Jersey mansion.

Following an intense week of training for the upcoming football season, the New York Jets quarterback and former Desperate Housewives star, both Mexican-American, enjoyed a casual dinner with friends, nibbling off each other’s plates.

The next night the two took in a Broadway production of “Rock of Ages” and had a romantic dinner at Japanese hotspot Nobu in New York City.

It was these latest sightings after months of speculation that gave further confirmation that Sanchez, who is known as a lady’s man, was ready to settle down with Longoria.

While Sanchez had been seen with a parade of gorgeous women all summer, the New York Post says Longoria is his favorite. “She’s been with him a lot,” said one source.

Longoria recently split from Spanish singer Eduardo Cruz, Penélope Cruz's brother, whom she started seeing after the end of her 3-year marriage to San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker last year.
