Demi Lovato will be singing the national anthem at Wold Series game 5 on Monday.
So far, the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals are tied 1-1 in the seven-game series.
The “Skyscraper” singer thanked the ‘Lovatics’ her fans for supporting her career.
"Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!!” she posted on her account. “I couldn't do it without you guys!!!!”
Lovato’s latest album “Unbroken” was released last month. The former Disney star made a guest appearance on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and performed “Skyscraper” as modern dancers interpreted the song alongside her.
“Skycraper” is a song about Lovato’s struggle with an eating and bipolar disorder and with self mutilation, issues which she battled with since a young age.
In early November of last year, Lovato dropped out of an International tour, with the Jonas Brothers to deal with “emotional and physical issues” in rehab.
Weeks later, allegations about Lovato physically attacking a back up dancer came out as well.
Claiming rehab to be “probably the darkest time in my life,” said Lovato. She thanked her fans for their support throughout her gloomy situation.
Last month Lovato won an ALMA Award for ‘Favorite TV Actress-Leading Role in aComedy’ at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, Calif.
Eva Longoria and George Lopez hosted the NCLR's ALMA Awards, which celebrated the triumphs of Latinos in entertainment, including film, TV and the music industry. The ceremony will took place on September 16, and aired on NBC.
