CBS cuts 'CSI' season short

CBS has trimmed the episode order for Season 15 of "CSI," TVLine reports.

The show's current season will span 18 episodes, rather than the original 22 that were ordered, according to TVLine. CBS says the decision was due to a plethora of shows that it has yet to debut, including the "CSI" spin-off "CSI: Cyber," Vince Gilligan's new series "Battle Creek," and the seventh and final season of "The Mentalist."
