Brad Pitt was set to attend the premiere of Terrence Malick's “Voyage of Time,” but the A-list actor canceled, citing his recent headline-making split from Angelina Jolie.

Pitt is the narrator for the IMAX film about nature and the universe.

“Terrence’s ‘Voyage of Time’ is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time," Pitt told Access Hollywood. "I'm very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”

On Sept. 20th, news broke that Jolie had filed for divorce from Pitt. The two have six children together, and Jolie said through her lawyer that the split up was for the “health of the family.”

Following the breakup, the FBI confirmed it had been contacted regarding child abuse allegations against Pitt. The agency said it would “evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued."

Jolie and Pitt were together for 12 years but only married for two years.
