Attorneys for a Pennsylvania boy who was just 11 when he was charged with fatally shooting his father's pregnant fiancee want a judge to dismiss those charges or, at least, grant him a new juvenile trial.

Thursday's hearing wasn't public and state prosecutors aren't commenting on it. But Jordan Brown's defense attorneys say both sides were asked to file written arguments before the judge issues a final ruling.

Brown was charged in the February 2009 shotgun killing of 26-year-old Kenzie Houk and her unborn son.

The state Supreme Court raised questions last year about the evidence used to convict him in juvenile court. State police and prosecutors have said none of the evidence points to anyone but him.

Brown is now 17. He's still in a juvenile facility.
