A Marine stationed in North Carolina and his cousin are accused of shooting at a historic, vacant church in northern New Jersey.

No one was injured when the Old Paramus Church in Ridgewood was sprayed with bullets on Nov. 16 and Dec. 26. Stained glass windows dating to 1875 were damaged.

Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli tells The Record (http://bit.ly/1zaZDWY ) newspaper he does not believe the church was targeted because it was a house of worship.

Authorities say 21-year-old Marine Joseph Galli, who is stationed at Camp Lejune, is charged with possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and possession of an assault firearm.

His cousin, 22-year-old Alex Norrell, is charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.
