A Taunton school teacher accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student had been released on $100,000 cash bail and his lawyer says he is innocent.

Patrick Doyle of Seekonk was released Thursday but ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device and to stay away from the girl.

The 33-year-old Doyle pleaded not guilty Wednesday to three counts of aggravated statutory rape, enticing a child under 16, and distribution of obscene material.

Authorities say Doyle drove the girl to his home at least three times, where they allegedly smoked marijuana and had sex. Authorities say he also sent the girl sexually explicit photos via cellphone.

Doyle's lawyer, James Reidy, tells the Taunton Daily Gazette his client is "devastated" and "bewildered" by the charges and he's confident Doyle will be vindicated.
