  • The salmonella disaster began at the Peanut Corp. of America's Georgia headquarters. In total, nine deaths are linked to the salmonella outbreak.
  • Health officials order Peanut Corp. of America to recall all products made at its Plainview, Texas, plant. Dead rodents, feces and feathers were found at the plant.
