Talk about a dream job.

Sleeping on the job will bear no repercussions for one mattress retailer’s newest recruit: one lucky “snoozetern,” who can rest and recharge from bed, part-time, for $200 a week.

Applications will close next week for Mattress Firm's inaugural in-house bed testing intern, and the company is eager to find someone over 18 who is ready to professionally “put their rest to the test."

“If you think you’re a slumber star, apply to sleep on the job as our in-house bed tester, testing the best of the best mattresses,” the cheeky job posting reads.

“The back of your eyelids won’t be your only view. You’ll test the optimal head and foot positions on our selection of adjustable bases for Netflix binging, Instagram stalking *ahem* posting, reading, typing, eating…really anything that would be better in bed.”

“Of course, you’ll want your friends to know that you’re “sleeping your best life” so regular appearances on Mattress Firm’s social channels will make the job of your dreams official,” the listing continues for the 20-hour-a-week position, housed in the company’s social media department.

“Feed your inquisitive nature by interviewing our sleep experts, finding out what the social sphere wants to know and determining the perfect amount of pillows needed for the “I’m-sleeping-but-still-taking-a-picture-of-myself” selfie.”

Based in Mattress Firm’s home office, or “BEDQuarters,” in Houston, company executives say they’re excited to welcome the first-ever “sleep-fluencer” aboard.

“It’s not every day that an intern is hired to sleep on the job, but that’s just one of many perks,” chief marketing officer Scott Thaler said in a statement. “In addition to bed testing, the Snoozetern will use our in-house content studio and the latest social tools to build integrated content campaigns as our very own sleep-fluencer.”

“These campaigns will be designed to give consumers a preview of our new products, answers to real-time questions, a sneak peek into our company culture at BEDQuarters and introductions to the employees that obsess over finding the right bed for you,” he continued of the dreamy opportunity.

The job listing further explains that even though applicants do not need to be in college, they but must be passionate about catching Z’s, and ready to “start snoozing” in the Houston area beginning August 15.
