Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks is still ashamed, but her target is someone new in 2016. The singer took to Twitter over the weekend to let her followers know which two presidential candidates she is not a fan of.

The first tweet took aim at Texas senator Ted Cruz:

Maines made a similar comment about then President George Bush in 2003, telling a crowd in London that she was ashamed that he was from Texas. The statement led to an abrupt end to the country trios commercial success when radio stations nationwide began banning their music, officially or unofficially.

The side-by-side photos of President Eisenhower and the current Republican presidential candidate serve to illustrate why she is not a fan of the latter. Maines later expended on her critique, making reference to Cruz being born in Canada.

I stand corrected…Just so you know, I’m ashamed Ted Cruz claims to be American, the follow-up tweet reads.

Maines also gave her opinion of Donald Trump, and as expected, it wasn’t positive.

The Dixie Chicks will return to the stage this spring and summer. The group will kick off their DCX MMXVI 2016 Tour on April 16 with a months worth of shows in Europe. Their first American date is on June 1 in Cincinnati.

Ill never make nice, but I will tour the States again, the frontwoman said in July, several months before making the tour announcement. The trio’s last studio album was "Taking the Long Way" from 2006. Its not clear if a new album will accompany this tour.
