ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek police say a rocket-propelled grenade launcher found in a suspected radical hideout was used against the U.S. embassy in Athens three years ago.

A far-left group called Revolutionary Struggle claimed the audacious Jan. 2007 attack on Greece's most heavily guarded foreign embassy, which caused no injuries and minor damage.

Police arrested six suspected group members in April, and seized what is believed to have been Revolutionary Struggle's main arsenal in an Athens flat. The haul included the launcher, RPGs, firearms and explosives.

A police statement Friday said laboratory tests have confirmed the launcher was used against the embassy.

The six suspects, all self-declared anarchists, have been charged with terrorism and attempted murder.
