An 11-year-old girl died Tuesday after she fell off a water ride at a British theme park, police said.
It happened at the Drayton Manor theme park in Tamworth, Staffordshire. “On arrival crews discovered a girl with serious injuries who had been rescued from the water by park staff,” West Midlands Ambulance Service told the BBC. “Unfortunately, shortly after arrival at the hospital the girl passed away.”
It wasn't clear exactly how far she fell. The ride, Splash Canyon, was closed after she fell, the park said in a Facebook post.

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the incident, according to the Guardian.
