BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentine activists have voted to lift a four-year bridge blockade protesting a Uruguayan factory they say pollutes.

The activists will vacate the bridge between Uruguay and Argentina for two months, starting as early as Saturday.

They are asking Argentine president Cristina Fernandez to implement strict pollution monitoring of the paper mill, located on the Uruguayan side of the Rio Uruguay. But protesters vow take the bridge again if demands go unheeded.

The International Court of Justice in the Hague ruled in April that the plant does not pollute, but found Uruguay violated statutes when it let the factory be built.
