Afghan suicide attack kills 1 at entrance of military base

KABUL – KABUL (AP) — Afghanistan's Interior Ministry says a suicide attack has killed one person and wounded two at the entrance to a military base.

The attack happened Monday morning in Khost province in eastern Afghanistan. The ministry says the suicide bomber was in a car packed with explosives.

The attack killed one Afghan civilian and wounded two Afghan security guards.
