State officials say a fire in a mobile home in northwest Georgia that killed six people was caused by an improperly installed wood stove.

State fire marshal's office spokesman Glenn Allen tells The Associated Press the mobile home fire happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Trion.
Allen says the blaze killed a man and woman and four children. He wasn't immediately sure how many of the children were the married couple's children.
State investigators were on the scene Monday and determined the fire was accidental. Allen said they determined that a wood stove heater that was installed Sunday was placed too close to an interior wall with wood paneling, and that's what caused the fire.
