LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Louisville woman who authorities say admitted to setting a series of fires, including setting Christmas wreaths ablaze, throughout the city has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The Courier-Journal reports (http://cjky.it/1NfwdN3 ) a judge sentenced 55-year-old Linda Gail Lee on Thursday.
Authorities say beginning in December 2012 through June 2014, Lee set more than 30 fires. Court documents show many occurred at night and resulted mostly in property damages and some minor injuries.
Recently retired Louisville Fire Maj. Henry Ott said last year that arson investigators labeled the spree the "wreath fires," after authorities say Lee lit wreaths, flags, front doors, and other items and properties ablaze.
In July, Lee accepted a plea agreement on multiple counts of arson and first-degree wanton endangerment.
