New York City police say are looking for the suspect who slashed a woman on the neck inside a subway car.

It happened in Brooklyn on Monday at 6:15 p.m. on an A train.

Police say the 29-year-old victim was aboard a southbound train stopped at the Euclid Avenue station when the suspect approached and slashed her with a sharp object.

The suspect then ran out of the train.

The woman's injuries were not life-threatening. She was treated at a hospital and released.

Police released a photo of the suspect. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 800-577-TIPS.
