PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Authorities say a Massachusetts woman has been charged with stealing items from a man's apartment last year while he and his 11-year-old daughter lay dead inside.
The Berkshire Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1TU7jFY ) 50-year-old Jodie Lehmann, of Pittsfield, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of larceny from a building and felony daytime breaking and entering.
Forty-seven-year-old Anthony Nazareth and his daughter, Hannah Nazareth, were found dead in their apartment last August.
Police say Lehmann and another man took items including a television, DVD player and clothing while Nazareth and his daughter were dead inside the residence.
Court documents say Lehmann and the other suspect admitted to finding Nazareth dead, but denied taking anything.
Lehmann is due back in court on March 10.
