Amazon Web Services (AWS) expanded its pop-up loft program, a hybrid learning hub and co-working space, to New York this summer after launching in San Francisco last year. So what makes these cities such a fit for this initiative?

Amazon’s VP of Worldwide Marketing Ariel Kelman says AWS has released more than 500 new services and features in the last year, and these spaces are all about getting closer to the communities asking those questions. “Having that direct contact and the day-to-day interaction with customers in two of the hottest startup markets in the world is just invaluable to keep the engine of innovation going at AWS," says Kelman. The company says more are lofts are planned, all in areas around the world with strong startup communities.
