The 13-year-old boy who was attacked last month by what authorities in Pennsylvania called a "wolf pack" of teenagers returned to school on Monday -- but wants to find a new school as soon as possible.

The boy, Nadin Khoury, of Upper Darby, Pa., and his mother spoke to MyFoxPhilly.com after his first day back to Upper Darby High School since the Jan. 11 attack.

He said someone smiled at him and he didn't know what to think, and a friend told him that there had been quite a bit of talk in the hallways about how Philadephia Eagles' DeSean Jackson gave Khoury a jersey on "The View."

He said he sat with his friend in a corner "the whole day" talking about everything that had happened and about the national attention the incident had received. But he gave a strong "no" when asked by the TV station if he wanted to stay at the school.

Police say Khoury was walking home from school when he was attacked by a group of teenagers who punched, kicked and dragged him through the snow before stuffing him in a tree and hanging him by his coat on a 7-foot-high fence. Khoury, who was not seriously injured, was rescued when a passerby jumped out of her car and took the boy home.

Authorities arrested seven teenagers, ages 13 to 17, in connection with the attack. Some of the alleged assailants videotaped the attack, which lasted about 15 minutes, on a cell phone camera. Police have charged the suspects with kidnapping, false imprisonment, reckless endangerment and other crimes.

"They're lucky they didn't kill him," Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

In an interview last week with Fox News, Khoury said he was walking with a friend in broad daylight when the two were attacked.

"When I got down from off the tree, they caught me again and starting kicking me and punching me," he said. "And they put me on the gate."

Now Khoury says he thinks his attackers will get justice and recommends that kids who feel they may be attacked by bullies should try to stick close to their friends.

“A friend can help you out,” he said.
