MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – A winning Powerball ticket sold in central Pennsylvania is worth $200,000 -- but only for the next couple of weeks.
The unclaimed lottery prize will expire on Nov. 20, one year after the winning numbers were drawn.
State lottery officials say the ticket was sold at the Sandy Ridge Market in Orbisonia, Huntingdon County. It matched all five white balls, 10-12-38-53-57, but not the red Powerball 01.
The winner will receive $200,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.
Because the prize expires on a Sunday, the last chance to file a claim in person will be Nov. 18. A claim submitted by mail must be postmarked by Nov. 19.
Unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the lottery fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.
