CONCORD, N.C. – A woman employee of Lowe's Home Improvement and a man were shot to death inside a North Carolina store Monday and a company spokeswoman described the shootings as a domestic situation.
The names of the victims and their relationship to each other were not immediately released, spokeswoman Karen Cobb said. The shooting happened at a store in Concord, which is about 20 miles northeast of Charlotte.
None of the other workers or customers inside the store were hurt. Cobb didn't know how many people were inside the store at the time of the shooting.
The store is closed. Counselors will be at the store for the woman's co-workers, Cobb said.
Concord police are investigating. Police Sgt. K.W. Childers said authorities were notified of the shooting at approximately 5:21 p.m.
