TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson authorities say an undercover drug operation has led to the arrests of 15 people and the recovery of nearly 10 pounds of heroin.
Tucson police spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawks says the heroin has a street value estimated at $8 million. The Arizona Daily Star reports a task force made the arrests last week at locations around Tucson.
A 16-year-old boy was among those arrested. All are facing various drug-related charges, including sale of narcotics, transportation of narcotics, distribution of narcotics and participation in a criminal syndicate.
