Transportation Security Administrator John Pistole says there's no specific intelligence indicating a terror threat to the U.S. during this Thanksgiving holiday.

Pistole says intelligence in the past suggests that al-Qaida and affiliated groups are interested in having a maximum impact with their attacks. And uniquely American holidays like Thanksgiving are attractive to them.

Terrorists have consistently targeted the aviation sector, which has led to enhanced security measures that have some travelers on edge at U.S. airports this year.

But, Pistole says, there is no intelligence pointing to a specific threat this week.
