Opening arguments have begun in the trial of four people accused of helping a man wanted for fatally shooting four police officers in the Seattle area.

Rickey Hinton, Eddie Lee Davis, Douglas Edward Davis, and Letrecia Nelson have pleaded not guilty to charges of rendering criminal assistance.

The News Tribune reports they allegedly provided Maurice Clemmons with transportation, tended to his gunshot wound and lied to investigators after the Nov. 29 shooting in Parkland.

Two other women have already been convicted of helping Clemmons and was sentenced to five year in prison. The accused getaway driver, Darcus Allen, goes on trial in March on aggravated murder charges.

Clemmons was killed by a police officer two days after the shootings, which sparked an intense manhunt for him.
