Toxicology report shows 2 off-duty NYPD officers killed in car crash were drunk

NEW YORK (AP) — A toxicology report shows an off-duty New York Police Department officer was drunk behind the wheel during a crash that killed him and a colleague, who also was drunk.

The report shows driver Kim Hoyoung's blood alcohol level was 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit. It shows off-duty Officer Edwin Paulino's blood alcohol level was 0.21 percent.

Four other passengers suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening in the May 16 crash on the Bronx River Parkway.
