A family that lost their home in Superstorm Sandy in 2012 is now waiting to see whether Hurricane Florence has destroyed their new one in North Carolina.

Jennifer Liebelt (LEE'-belt) and her family were rescued from their Union Beach, New Jersey, home by boat as Sandy destroyed it in 2012. Rather than rebuild, they moved to Wilmington, North Carolina — where Hurricane Florence threatened their new home this week.

She, her family and a cat piled into cars as Florence approached and headed north, hoping to squeeze in with relatives in New Jersey. They ended up at Atlantic City's Ocean Resort Casino, which is taking in Florence evacuees for free.

Casino owner Bruce Deifik's (DY'-fik) generosity could cost him $250,000 to $300,000 in lost revenue.
