Court officials say there's a verdict in the trial of an Arizona couple accused of imprisoning their three daughters to their home for months.

The case went to the jury Wednesday, and one juror was excused and replaced by an alternate Thursday. Deliberations in the case resumed Friday.

Fernando and Sophia Richter each face three counts of kidnapping and child abuse. Fernando Richter also faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The three girls testified that their parents kept them captive in their rooms, rarely allowing them to use the restroom and physically abusing them.

Sophia Richter denied the allegations. Her husband's attorney said the girls "embellished" their stories.
