CHICAGO – The Latest on a shootout that left a suspect dead and three police officers injured on the city's West Side (all times local):

Chicago police have released the name of a suspect who died after a shootout that left three officers wounded.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi announced on Twitter on Tuesday that the dead suspect was 29-year-old Lamar Harris. Police say he was a known gang member and convicted felon with more than 40 arrests.
Guglielmi says the shootout occurred Monday night after officers observed a man and a woman acting suspiciously and decided to investigate. The pair fled, the officers gave chase and the man opened fire, hitting three of them multiple times. One of the officers returned fire, fatally injuring the suspect.
Other officers with first aid kits were able to apply preliminary care while they waited for Chicago Fire Department emergency crews.

A Chicago Police Department spokesman says officers offered first aid to a dying suspect after a shootout.
Anthony Guglielmi of the police department said Tuesday that three officers who were wounded during the shootout are doing well. The officers had observed a man and a woman acting suspiciously and decided to investigate. The pair fled, with police giving chase. The man opened fire.
Guglielmi says that the woman was interviewed but not charged following the incident in which the male suspect was killed by an officer returning fire.
Guglielmi says officers nearby with first aid kits and bandages were able to apply preliminary care while they waited for Chicago Fire emergency crews. He says the officers had been trained.

Chicago police say a woman is being questioned in connection with a shootout between several officers investigating drug activity and a suspect they were pursuing.
The shootout on the city's West Side left the man dead and three police officers wounded.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said late Monday the officers are being treated at a hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.
Guglielmi says the officers observed a man and a woman acting suspiciously. He says the man fled after police announced their presence. He ran into a gangway and opened fire, wounding the three officers. At least one returned fire, killing the suspect. A weapon was recovered at the scene of the shooting.
Guglielmi says the woman, who wasn't immediately identified, was being questioned by investigators.
