A child who witnessed the shooting of his siblings and mother told Colorado police that it followed a road rage encounter.

That's according to a search warrant drafted by police after the shooting that killed one boy and wounded three other people Thursday in a suburban Denver parking lot.

According to the warrant released Friday, the boy told police that his mother and another driver were involved "in some type of road rage incident."

The child said the driver followed the family to the parking lot in the city of Westminster where he again argued with the woman before shooting at her, two of her children and a bystander. He then fled.

The boy says his mother had taken a photo of the driver's license plate.

Jeremy Webster has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The child's mother and brother are in critical condition, and an unrelated man is less seriously wounded. Police haven't released the victims' names or ages.
