Police say a man charged in the death 7-year-old Kentucky boy opened fire during a dice game near the victim's home.
Dequante Hobbs Jr. was struck by a stray bullet as he ate cake at his kitchen table.
Louisville police said Wednesday that 23-year-old Wyatt Williams was arrested and charged with murder. Police say Williams pulled out a gun during the dice game and opened fire on the evening of May 21.
The arrest came on the same day that Dequante would have started his second-grade year in school.
