The Latest on a shooting and a search for a suspect in Mississippi (all times local):

7:30 p.m.

Officials are expanding a search for a Mississippi man they believe shot and killed another man, wounded a woman and set two houses on fire.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Warren Strain said Tuesday evening that officers are searching wooded areas near Jayess in Lawrence County.

That comes after officers surrounded two mobile homes and a house looking for Tony Wilson, who Lawrence County Sheriff Lessie Butler says shot and killed a neighbor in a land dispute.

Butler says Wilson and Henry Peavey have disputed ownership of a parcel to which Peavey was granted title.

Officials say Wilson set fire to two houses and wounded Peavey's wife, although the nature of her injuries is unclear. She was hospitalized in Jackson.

Robert Langille, Wilson's brother-in-law, says Wilson is an experienced woodsman who could elude police for a long time.
