A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 10 years for aiding in a terror plot.

Nader Saadeh pleaded guilty in 2015 to conspiracy to provide support to a foreign terrorist organization. In court on Monday he apologized for his actions.

He had faced a maximum sentence of 15 years, but received less time because his cooperation helped the government prosecute his older brother and two other men.

Prosecutors had sought a sentence of 10 to 12 years.

At his plea hearing in 2015, Saadeh said he discussed plans to use bombs in Times Square and other New York locations.

Saadeh's older brother, Alaa, a former supervisor at an office supply store, is serving a 15-year sentence.
