Authorities say a second girl has died after a stabbing at a New York City hotel that also claimed the life of her mother and a sister.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday that a 5-month-old girl died Wednesday after being injured at a Ramada Inn on Staten Island.

The girl's mother, 28-year-old Rebecca Cutler, and her 1-year-old sister died earlier. A 2-year-old girl remains in critical condition.

Police are searching for the mother's boyfriend, 23-year-old Michael Sykes. The 5-month-old was Sykes' daughter with Cutler.
