Police say a suburban Dallas woman who was arrested after three of her children drowned in a pool at an apartment complex has been released on bond.

Irving police spokesman James McLellan said that 30-year-old Patricia Allen was released Saturday, a day after her arrest on one count of injury to a child. The charge hasn't been filed yet.

Three of her children — ages 11, 10 and 9 — died after being pulled from the pool June 24.

The arrest warrant says a witness told police Allen had been texting and using her phone while at the pool with her five children.

Allen's attorney, Linda Turley, said Monday that her own investigation indicates her client was not on her phone. She said she's confident "this matter" will be dismissed.
