Texas man allegedly throws puppy against wall

A Texas man, angry over losing a basketball game, allegedly threw a black Labrador puppy against a wall last Wednesday, breaking the dog’s leg, The Austin Statesman reported.

The suspect, Jourdahn Lydell Jefferson, 21, was charged with cruelty to animals, a state jail felony, the paper reported.

Jefferson’s girlfriend’s  roommate reported the alleged incident to police, the report said, and investigators found the dog with the injured leg. Jefferson was in custody on Monday, the report said.
