Several students were injured after a school bus tipped over in Bemidji, Minnesota Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Bemidji Area Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim Hess says the bus was rear-ended by another car near the intersection of Movil Lake Road and Irvine Avenue, causing the bus to tip over on its side in the ditch.

Five students on the bus were transported to Sanford Health for evaluation. One student was airlifted from the scene. Hess said the other students aboard the bus suffered bumps and bruises.
