Fifteen people were hospitalized Tuesday night after a pickup truck and a car were involved in a collision with a bus carrying a group of girls from a Maryland high school basketball team.

The collision occurred on a highway near Chaptico, Md., about 50 miles south of Washington D.C., about 9:30pm local time, with the bus leaving the road and finishing up in the woods.

The injured were taken to the St. Mary's Hospital, although myFOXdc.com reported it was not immediately know how many of those were students from Great Mills High School, who had been returning from a scrimmage when the crash occurred.

Police said the driver of the pickup was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Fifteen people from the three vehicles were hospitalized, including one patient who was ejected from the pickup during the crash, The Bay Net reported.
