SAN DIEGO – San Diego State University says a student with meningitis remains on life support but she's not expected to recover.
The school earlier reported that 18-year-old Sara Stelzer died Friday, three days after she was hospitalized for flu-like symptoms.
But university spokesman Greg Block says Friday night that although the death statement was released with permission of the teen's parents, he's learned she remains on life support because there is a possibility that her organs may be donated.
It's unclear how long her family will keep her on life support.
