NEW YORK – The New York City woman who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault has arrived for a pivotal meeting with prosecutors over the fate of the case.
Nafissatou Diallo and her lawyer, Kenneth Thompson, are meeting with representatives of the Manhattan district attorney's office to discuss plans for the troubled prosecution.
Thompson has said he expects the worst.
A person familiar with the case has told The Associated Press that prosecutors are likely to tell Diallo that they intend to drop all charges against the former head of the International Monetary Fund.
The meeting is being held a day before Strauss-Kahn is due back in court on the assault charge.
