A South Carolina man who was found in a suspected mobile meth lab reportedly told police he was ghost hunting in a cemetery.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports that Marvin Willis, 36, was charged by the Spartanburg Public Safety Department with manufacturing methamphetamine after an officer spotted three people standing near a pickup truck in Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday.
All three people, according to an incident report, told the officer that they were in the cemetery hoping to see ghosts. The officer noticed alcohol inside the truck and asked if he could search the vehicle, leading the officer to find several items used to make methamphetamine.
Willis was also found with a plastic container with meth inside, according to the report. A blue, rock-like substance also was found inside a plastic bottle in the truck bed and Willis admitted that the bottle contained several ingredients used to make meth: ammonium nitrate, lye, pseudoephedrine and lighter fluid, the report states.
Willis remained at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility on Monday on a $15,000 bond, the newspaper reports.
