ARCHBOLD, Ohio – An Ohio college student who disappeared while riding her bicycle and was later found slain in a cornfield had been suffocated.
The Blade (http://bit.ly/2bfPpPA ) newspaper in Toledo reports an autopsy says Sierah Joughin (JAW'-gihn) was found handcuffed and bound with rope on July 22, three days after she was last seen east of Toledo.
The report says she died of asphyxiation.
Authorities have charged 57-year-old James Worley with aggravated murder and abduction in the killing of the 20-year-old University of Toledo student.
Worley's attorney has declined to comment.
Authorities said in court documents they found handcuffs, rope and tape on Worley's property.
He was convicted of abducting a 26-year-old woman in 1990 who was biking alone near Toledo. She says he hit and handcuffed her.
