Several tornadoes touch down as storms move across Oklahoma; 2 truck drivers injured

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Several tornadoes have touched down in Oklahoma as more severe weather hits the southern Plains.

Two injuries have been reported in Wednesday's storms. Officials say two truck drivers were taken to hospitals when winds blew over their semitrailers.

Power lines are also down in some places. Kingfisher County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis says the town of Kingfisher, about 45 miles northwest of Oklahoma City, is without power.

The National Weather Service says it also received reports of a series of brief, small tornadoes in southwest Kansas. The service says they aren't related to the supercell tornado outbreak in Oklahoma.
