Nashville police say they're increasing security at a downtown bus terminal after four teenagers were shot there.

Police said in a news release that 18-year-old Javious Chatman was seriously injured in Monday's shooting. The release said three boys, two 16 and one 17, received non-life- threatening injuries.

The release also said the bus terminal was crowded when the shots were fired near an upper-level escalator about 3:30 p.m. The Music City Central MTA bus terminal is a central transfer station for schoolchildren and other passengers.

Police said in the release that the shooting was "seemingly targeted" and that they think the three teens who suffered less serious injuries were hit by stray rounds.

They said they've detained two people who were spotted running and tossing a gun into shrubbery.
