The family who says their 3-year-old girl was asked to leave a KFC restaurant because her scars disturbed customers won't directly accept a $30,000 donation from the fried chicken chain.

The family's attorney said in a statement Wednesday that KFC instead is invited to give the money to the Frank Stile Foundation. Stile is a Las Vegas physician who has offered to donate his services to work on the girl's face, scarred from a pit bull mauling.

The restaurant chain had pledged the money to help with the medical bills of the 3-year-old, even though it says an investigation concluded that there was no proof that any employee asked her to leave.

Kellum says the child's family stands by the claim.
