WILKINSBURG, Pa. – Police are on the scene of a shooting with multiple victims in the Borough of Wilkinsburg, just outside of Pittsburgh.
Lt Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County homicide unit confirmed the shooting late Wednesday night.
WPXI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1YzPvjR ) that about seven ambulances arrived at the scene and at least three people have been taken to a hospital. It is unclear how many were shot and whether there are fatalities.
A motive was not immediately known.
Resident Kayla Alexander tells the television station that she heard more than 20 shots and saw at least four men run away. She says the neighborhood usually is quiet.
Police officers from several neighboring police departments are present. Many neighbors are standing outside their homes hoping for news.
