The prosecutor in Winston-Salem says a black man who died in police custody last year had health problems that were largely responsible for his death.

District Attorney Jim O'Neill told local media outlets Monday that four white Winston-Salem police officers were not responsible for the death of 31-year-old Travis Nevelle Page last December.

The city released body-camera footage Monday from three of the police officers involved in the case. The fourth officer did not have a body camera.

City officials and The Ministers Conference of Winston-Salem and Vicinity had asked that the video be released as soon as possible after Page died. O'Neill had refused earlier because of the ongoing investigation.

Police Chief Barry Rountree said the officers will remain on administrative duty until he reviews an internal investigation.
