ROSSVILLE, Md. – Police in Maryland say a woman was shot as she walked to a bus stop near a Baltimore County hospital.
County police spokesman Cpl. Shawn Vinson said by phone Wednesday that the woman was found shot multiple times in the upper body late Tuesday near MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. He says the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment, but police don't have details of her current condition.
Vinson says police believe the woman was targeted, but they don't have a description of the shooter. The hospital was locked down for about an hour as a precaution, but Vinson says police don't believe the suspect poses a threat to anyone in the area.
