BLOOMING GROVE, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police are planning to give an update on the manhunt for Eric Frein (freen), the suspect in last month's deadly ambush of a rural barracks.
State police have scheduled a news conference, their first in five days, for Wednesday afternoon in Blooming Grove.
Hundreds of law enforcements officials have been scouring the woods for Frein, the 31-year-old survivalist charged with opening fire outside the Blooming Grove state police barracks. Cpl. Bryon Dickson was killed and Trooper Alex Douglass was seriously wounded in the Sept. 12 attack.
Frein is believed to be hiding in dense, rugged terrain around his parents' home in Canadensis.
