Police have scaled down the number of officers searching for a 5-year-old Arizona girl missing for three days and are continuing to follow up on dozens of tips from the public.

Jahessye Shockley was last seen by her older siblings at her Glendale home Tuesday evening after her mother ran out for an errand.

About 100 people combed a 3-mile area around the home Wednesday and Thursday and searched the homes of registered sex offenders without luck.

Glendale Officer Tracey Breeden says the search continued Friday, but that two dozen officers were looking for her in a less intensive search.

Authorities also canceled an Amber alert that had been issued for the girl because she has been missing much longer than the typical eight to 10 hours that Amber alerts last.
